FluentEducation

We have a national literacy crisis.

-Fifty percent of American adults can't read a book written for an eighth grader.

-32 million American adults can't read at all.

-Two-thirds of American children who are not proficient readers by the fourth grade will end up in prison or on welfare.

Schools offer reading intervention programs, but often, these programs repeat ineffective methods in smaller groups. Fluent is changing that by developing software that transforms any teacher into a world-class literacy expert with guided lesson plans tailored for success.

How it Works

Designed for MTSS and RTI interventive literacy programs, Fluent helps struggling readers with personalized, highly effective lesson plans. Whether in small groups or one-on-one, Fluent guides teachers using these tailor-made lesson plans.

1st

Evaluation

Fluent uses current performance data from the classroom or previous evaluations to understand the student's educational needs.

2nd

Lesson Planning

Fluent creates personalized lesson plans tailored to student performance, using proven Orton-Gillingham and science of reading methodologies.

3rd

Teaching

Fluent's digital lesson plans help teachers enhance their instruction. Tutorial videos guide teachers on how to lead the exercises. Additional videos explain the significance and benefits of these activities, ensuring effective implementation.

4th

Data

Student performance data is recorded during each lesson, ensuring constant evaluation and adjustment of future lesson plans. This data is also accessible to school administration, providing insights into student progress and identifying those who need additional support.

5th

At Home Instruction

Independent online activities are provided for students needing additional help. These activities offer extra reinforcement to meet the student's needs.

What is MTSS and RTI?

MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) and RTI (Response to Intervention) use multi-tiered systems to ensure students receive the help they need.

  • Tier 1: General classroom education.

  • Tier 2: Additional support in small groups with an instructor.

  • Tier 3: Intensive, one-on-one instruction tailored to each student's needs.

Students who still need help after Tier 3 may be referred to special education for further support
